Yeah. So I know I'm feeling a little guilty about being late to Sunday mass because I'm caught up downloading awesome songs. But I know my Sunday priorities are all screwed up - however, I promise I'm a good and virtuous person only I overachieve on music stylings :)

This is some hip hop/ electronica / soul stuff from Paris! yes... the french sure know how to meddle with hip hop and soul.. and make it sound so damn fresh. I really dig this.

My younger brother just showed me his favorite youtube video of the week. And we both watched with a bit of sadness... for all you J Dilla fans out there.

For a solid three months after Train of Thought was first released, I was stuck on the album.  STUCK.
And this song was a constant staple on my stereo for many evenings in while studying at my apartment...

I love revisting favorite songs from the past...  listening to it again in a different stage of my life allows me to hear little things I have never heard before.... or maybe I've just gotten better at paying close attention.

Good morning, it is a lovely Saturday morning in Los Angeles.  I am getting ready to walk down to the local farmer's market to pick up some goodies... mostly flowers for my home.  But I needed a proper push from the right tunes to kick me up.

You see, my head is still fuzzy after polishing off two (or was it three?) glasses of Jameson whiskey and ginger ale from last night's shenanigans with the gang.  Our Anna was greatly missed as she is currently in San Diego with her fam. But Miss Carolline joined us from the westside to join in the festivities and it was wonderful.  

After two major career moves made by Felicious and I this past week... it was only fitting to mark our usual Friday evenings with a couple rounds of ketel one/soda, maker's mark and jameson... plus, a proper session of shakedown shuffling with the dance machine that is our dear Jason T... it was a good night.  A night we needed... and it feels good to get over our certain 'humps' and look forward to an exciting future...

I live with my younger brother.  He is 24, a transportation design major in his third year of school.  One of the cool things about living with this kid?  he gives me updates on his Youtube music video finds every night.  And once in a while he'll come up with something pretty sick.  And well, the beat on this track amazed us both...  I don't usually post videos often -- but after this one I've decided that I might accompany a few of my music posts with a matching video.
