Hello there...
It's been a while, hasn't it? I took a break from VOX and now I'm back. It's been interesting. Lots of changes.. good ones. Lots of growing. Lots of challenges. Always moving forward.
So.. I just wanted to slowly jump back in and post a song I am (currently) very much in love with. The mood and dreamy nature of this song feels very close to how I feel at the moment. I am bit more relaxed and I guess you can say a bit happier with my life. I am busier than ever, but I like it. :)
I've been enjoying this track a great deal lately. Enjoy.

JT posted a track by one of my favorite downtempo artists 4Hero.. Les Fleur for his Sunday Song. I'd like to propose another 4Hero production... a remix of Nuyorican Soul's I am the Black Gold of the Sun.

jazzanova is one of my absolute favorites. this remix is quite special seeing that it is done by one vikter duplaix. mauricio of all my friends is very aware of my utter dislike of mr. duplaix. so he knows this is a big step for me. i uploaded not one, but two of my new "favorite" vikter tracks.
anyway, i've had a long open discussion/argument with mau about artist v. art - this brought on after i told him i didn't like pharrell since i believed he was an arrogant person - which ultimately made listening to his music, very annoying. sure, a lot of n.e.r.d. tracks are pretty good, but i wouldn't be too upset if i didn't hear another n.e.r.d. track for the rest of my life.
moving on to mr. vikter duplaix. i think i have valid reason for not liking vikter for his character as a person. since i was once witness to his rudeness towards a woman he was apparently dating. (this was many years ago). anyway, since that moment i've given up most, if not all listening opportunities to vikter's work, and i haven't given much of it a chance until last year. mau and i got into this whole discussion about separating the artists' work from their behavior and character as a person... because in his view, if we really followed that rule for every musician, artist - we would be cutting out a lot of good material that is out there.
and you know what folks? i have to stand down and agree with mau here. albeit this track is not a full vikter production - his work with a true favorite of mine(jazzanova) is well.... pretty damn good. and i'm glad i've given him another chance. let's just hope i don't run into him again at another party.
